Corona Virus

Update

STATEMENT:

As the world scrambles to deal with the consequences of the Coronavirus / Covid-19 outbreak,  those of us in the lawn and garden business are being hit particularly hard, as the pandemic strikes in the heart of our busy season. While it certainly seems as though the coming season will be a difficult one for garden centers across North America, Ceramo remains committed to providing our customers timely deliveries of gorgeous flower pots for as long as we are allowed to keep our doors open.

We will be closely following the recommendations made by our state and county health departments, and will monitor and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. As of now, we are still operating, and are open for business as usual. And yes, we will continue to offer great deals on amazing flower pots for the rest of the spring, which will allow you to grow your pottery profits throughout the season.

We have received a handful of questions about whether our pots are safe, since many of them are produced in heavily stricken countries - the following from the CDC addresses these concerns:

In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.

We certainly understand that  current conditions are preventing many of our garden center customers from taking in-person meetings with our sales team, and we would encourage you to either call our in-house sales team to place or review your orders. New orders may also be placed online at any time - click here for access to our online catalog.

UPDATE: 4/1/2020

As we navigate these trying times together, we want to reassure you of our ongoing commitment to you, our valued customers around the country. We share your concern about the health and safety of our communities, and we understand first-hand the challenges of keeping a small business running. We are here to support you in any way we can.

As people across America are forced to stay home this spring, many consumers are turning to gardening as a way to pass time or to secure a supply of fresh fruits and vegetables. We are daily getting reports from many parts of the country that garden centers are experiencing good traffic in spite of social distancing constraints.

We have been collecting ideas from our retailers to help build sales through these trying times, and are cataloging them on our Instagram and Facebook pages for your reference. Some of these innovations include virtual walk-throughs, selling potted plants to help grow profit margins, & creating succulent kits for kids. We have customers who are working to set-up online stores, and others who are taking phone orders for delivery and curbside pickup.

Whatever path you choose to get through this season, we are here to support you. We're open for business, and we are well stocked with a huge selection of gorgeous planters. We have low minimum orders, and can offer extended terms on qualifying orders.

You can continue to reach us at 800-325-8303 or sales@ceramousa.com during our regular business hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST, Monday-Friday. You are also welcome to visit our website and shop online.

We value our relationships with you, and you can count on our support. Please be safe in the coming weeks.

UPDATE: 3/17/2020

We received the following communication from one of our Vietnamese factories regarding conditions there, and thought it worth sharing:

• We are now back to 100% staffing for the off season at our factories.

• We monitor and test employees twice a day for elevated temperatures/fevers.

• We provide additional safety gear for our staff such as masks, cleaning supplies etc.

• We supply full medical coverage for our employees and any additional coverages for COVID-19 if necessary.

• Office staff that can perform their work remote from home have the option to do so.  They only come into the office when absolutely needed.

• We continue to NOT accept outside visitors to our factories at this time until situation subsides.

• Packing/inspections/certifications will all be conducted by our own internal staff and will continue to accept full responsibility/guarantee for this process.
